Your face is delicate yet it receives the toughest conditions. It is constantly adapting itself to different weather conditions. It faces the sun on a daily basis. It also endures cold, harsh weather which leads to the drying out of the skin, irritation and redness. In the case of women, it is often exposed to a variety of concealers and foundations. Then it experiences make up removers as well as a variety of soaps, face cleansers and beauty mask treatments. It is also almost always exposed because people are not fancy on covering up their face with a ski mask all the time, Therefore, many people choose to have a procedure called micodermabrasion done because of its fantastic results. Microdermabrasion is a rather simple process to remove dead skin cells to give your face a rejuvenated look.

Plastic surgeons spray small pellets or crystals across the face with a small hand held machine to then blend a technique of abrasion with suction in order to loosen and remove the dead skin cells that live on the outer layer of the skin. As the dead skin cells come off, a younger and brighter skin is then revealed. This process is not as intense as its big brother dermabrasion which gets rid of deeper facial problems such as deep wrinkles and acne scars. Microdermabrasion is a finer process that mainly helps to keep the skin looking healthy, to remove light off colored facial pigmentation and very fine lines. Event o achieve these results, there may be the need to do several microdermabrasion treatments.

The advantage of using microdermabrasion over different types of facial cosmetic procedures like chemical peels, dermabrasion, etc is because this process is much gentler. Almost every person can have this procedure done because it offers little irritation on the skin. It is a much shorter process than the rest of the other facial options and it has the fastest recovery rate. This means that a patient can resume his or her daily activities rather immediately after the process and there is not a major after care process with lotions. This process also does not require any type of anesthesia because it is painless. This also helps to lower the cost of the operation. This type of procedure also has a less rate of risk than all of the other types of facial enhancers because it is not as intense meaning there is no risk of scarring or permanent pigment damage like in the other procedures.

Microdermabrasion can be used on all skin types and is recommended for those patients who are very sensitive to chemical treatments. The only disadvantage is that you may need multiple sessions in order to get the exact results that you are looking for. If you are looking for a procedure that is not very invasive and allows you to continue with your normal, everyday activities, microdermabrasion may be exactly what you need.
